Heinz came to India in the year 1994, by taking over the Family Products Division of Glaxo. Heinz India is fully integrated into the global Heinz operations employing high standards in qual-ity at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The company provides taste and nutrition to Indian customers through globally trusted products like Heinz (Tomato Ketchup) and local products like Complan (Energy Drink), and Sampriti (Ghee).

At Heinz, the business critical databases and applications are running in a virtualized environment. The uptime and avail-ability of these systems are critical as it directly impacts the delivery. According to the organization's Business Continuity strategy, the IT infrastructure is one of the important compo-nents of business process that supports non-stop customer delivery.
